Job descriptionWe are currently recruiting for an Estimator on a permanent basis located at our Wood Group GTS – OGIS facility in Jebel Ali Dubai U.A.E. . The successful candidate will provide assistance on projects by working with Sales Engineering and Productions providing dependable cost estimates and project evaluations. In addition c ontribute to WGESME vision of creating fast dependable and creative solutions for its customers. Experience in API Products tendering. Receive enquiry from Sales as arising and acknowledge receipt. Process customer’s enquiries which normally arrive in the form of detailed component and fabrication assembly drawings with bills of materials. Coordinate with Sales team to convert into quotations following the company costing systems to generate a total project cost. Propose submission date and update Production Manager General Manager with time scale or bid extension requirement. Liaise with procurementwshop to assess for material pricing availability and labour. Review material and labor requirements to determine whether it is more costeffective to produce or purchase components. Produce costing sheet for every enquiry and prepare quote to send through Production Manager. Maintain enquirypricingsub contract connections register completely updated at all time. Will also involve in getting pricing from vendors for subcontract works. Interpret customer drawings and specifications. Liaise with customer drawings and specifications. Prepare time schedule for fabrication repair. Revise and update timeline for projects repairs fabrications based on standing enquiries orders and priorities. Liaise with Customers to finalize work scope Deal with customers to interpret their technical requirements and providing estimations bids to sales team to submit to clients in the oil and gas sector projects relating to rotating equipments valves compressor etc. as well as establishing materials availability and project time scales. Embrace the Lean operating principles and seek to apply these in the work place. Participate in Contract review process. Ensure compliance with company’s documented Quality and HSE System’s. Job Requirements Diploma in Mechanical engineering Experience in estimating role or closely related role Considerable level of experience in the repair and maintenance of rotating andor oilfield equipment Sound understanding of the engineering workflow for a project and management of priorities Good understanding of workshop activities. Good communication skills in English language both verbal and written. Able to read and understand enquiries resolving any conditions or qualifications contained therein. Able to read and understand tender documentation correspondence drawings specifications etc.. With computer skills Microsoft Office Word Excel and Outlook.
