Commercial Manager

Responsibilities



nbspnbspThe Commercial Manager will provide commercial and contract support for the construction stage of the project.



Communicate effectively with other staff members and clients.



Deliver all work outputs in an accurate and timely manner.



The Commercial Manager must be able to take a brief from a client and deliver clear outputs.



Capable of closing out commercial and contract issues.



Understand and comply with business risk and project delivery parameters including commerciality in respect of agreed scopes of service.



Capture and share knowledge and be involved with the development of service improvement.



The Commercial Manager should be a strong team player but demonstrate the ability to take a leadership role.



Commercial and contractual review and audits.



Establishing and implementing commercial management strategy.



Strategic tactical contractual and commercial advice.



Cost control reporting and forecasting.



Ensure initial cost plans are sufficient to carry out the works to be undertaken.



Perform interim valuations to ensure subcontractor payments are made in a timely manor.



Develop procurement plans and procure the works in accordance with the cost plan and design information available.



To safeguard the financial and commercial interests of the company with regard to the construction contract in question by managing and controlling risk income and expenditure.



Perform tender analysis to ensure value for money is achieved and that the works have been procured at the best market rates.



Prepare contract documentation and negotiate contract terms to limit risk to the company.



The Commercial Manager will provide cost report information to internal and external clients to enable business and project objectives to be met.



Forecast and monitor cash flow to ensure a positive cash flow is maintained.



Prepare and agree final accounts including the handling of any claims to ensure the company makes a profit from works undertaken.
