The Site Inspector role is responsible for the inspection of contractor's work across construction discipline projects across WSP Middle East ME



Responsibilities

bull Responsible for carrying out site inspections shop drawings and material submittals to ensure the work performed is in accordance with the drawings and specifications.

bull Ensure the work performed is in accordance with the drawings and specifications

bull Maintain detailed diary of daily work activities issues work approved or rejected hours of operations labour and equipment used and sign at the end of each day

bull Coordinate with contractor's team to advise on execution of the work

bull Identify defective works and suspect materials escalate as required

bull Coordinate with surveyors to check line and levels in conformance with drawings and specifications

bull Process request to inspect work forms and maintain record of status

bull Maintain records of completed works for interim and final payment and asbuilt drawings

bull Make special notes and document contractors' activities that may lead to claims

bull Ensure that Health and Safety is embedded into all work practices in line with company policies. Including reporting and documenting accidents or incidents

bull Ensure statutory and regulatory requirements are met

bull Provide regular work status updates including identified risks or concerns to line manager

bull Attend and contribute in team and project meetings as required

bull Contribute to the delivery of the business unit strategy. Including supporting the companies approach to sustainability

bull Ensure QMS and Project Lifecycle compliance across team and projects

bull Input into the work of the Technical Working Group TWG

bull Complete accurate timesheets by set deadline

bull Feedback on all business development opportunities



Requirements

bull 10 years' experience preferably with Geotechearthworks experience.

bull BSc or equivalent with minimum of 10 years post graduate experience preferably with Geotechearthworks experience

bull Experienced user of Microsoft Office

bull Knowledge of AutoCAD and document collaboration systems preferred
