Summary of Position



Field support Engineers are



· OnSite technical focal for the customers.



· Solution providers and problem solvers.



· Onsite specialist of our IFE systems.



Duties

• Provide timely inairline and onwing support on Thales IFE system in terms of flyalong support entryintoservice support inservice fault finding and diagnosis carry out corrective action.


• Due to service pattern of aircraft such services may be carried out during irregular hours or during off duty days.


• Provide quality information and communications to customers for proper operation andor good understanding of issues.


• Provide valueadd feedback to Thales Avionics IFE in terms of issue encountered analysis results and possible improvement plan.


• Work closely with Thales IFE Technical Support team on all technical issues related to IFE system System failures Network issues Fiber optic issues…. Ensure good communication with Dubai based regional team and central office based in Irvine California.


• Evaluate the needs of the customers and relate details to appropriate internal departments.


• Perform other reasonable related duties as assigned by immediate supervisor or upper management.


• Participate actively in any retrofits and or the entry into service of new systems at assigned customers.

  Experience Required
  
  
  
  · Minimum of 4 years of experience in the Aviation Industry. Preferably in Engineering andor maintenance of Aircraft systems. Preferably Avionics andor IFE
  
  
  
  Qualifications Required
  
  

  
  
  • DiplomaDegree in Engineering andor Apprentice in Aircraft maintenance with Engineering License.
  
  
  • Capability to comprehend and follow instructions procedures blueprints diagrams manuals and to comprehend and follow verbal instruction. Knowledge of reading aviation documents such as ICD AMM IPCWDMSCM preferable.
  
  
  • Knowledge of electricalelectronic and digital networks. Ability to troubleshoot complex networks.
  
  
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  
  
  • Very good computer skills.
  
  
  • Must pass extensive security and background checks.
  
  
  • Must be available for all shifts
  
  
  • Must be able to travel domestically and internationally.
