Project details • Simple cycle power plants under construction. Plant details • 500 MW OCGT each. Simple cycle power plant • 2 Plants in total. • 2 units per plant. • Siemens turbines. As a Lead I C Commissioning Engineer you are responsible for • Should get aware of the local instrument testing codes standards and additional client requirements if any for all the instrument and controllers installed at site. • Should perform the testing with or without subcontractor for all the IC equipment in accordance with the local codes standards. • Should help in preparing contract and technical scope negotiations with instrument testing and calipation subcontractor. • Should provide necessary information to testing subcontractor verify their testingcalipation procedures and protocol formats support them to start the testingcalipation activities at site witness the tests keep a record of the protocols plan their manpower and its optimum utilization. • Should coordinate with Site Commissioning Manager for manpower subcontractor and IC testingCSU activities. • Should conduct joint walk downs with construction department for the system handover. • Should prepare the commissioning procedures for IC systems for client's approval. • Should plan the IC precommissioning and CSU activities in accordance with the project schedule or as per the directions from Site Commissioning Manager and coordinate it with electricalIC construction department. • Should commission the instrument or systems in accordance with the approved procedures and site HSE standards. • Should provide division of responsibilities amongst IC CSU team provide proper directions and necessary information to IC Engineer or IC Supervisors for planning the works. • Should participate and lead in critical tasks the field CSU activities. • Should manage a database of IC construction completion precommissioning and commissioning protocols vendor supervision reports or other service reports with the help of QAQC. • Should maintain proper observations andor participate on the field LOTO activities. • Should coordinate with engineeringdesign company in case of design errors or changes. • Should coordinate with construction department for any design modifications or other requirements. • Should markup all the PIDschematic drawings in case of changes and submit the asbuilts to engineeringdesign company for approval and revisions. • Should follow up on the pending issues with vendor or design company pending materials etc. and ping any critical issue to Site Commissioning Manager's attention. • Should troubleshoot the issues or problems found during testing or commissioning and achieve the solution in reasonable manner. • Should conduct joint walk downs with client for system handover to client follow up on their punch items resolve the commissioning related punch items and take client's approval on those items. • Should perform andor organize proper preventive maintenance for the instrument as per the Vendor OM Manuals and archive the maintenance records. • Should conduct proper training to Company as well as Client's operators for IC system operation. • Should ensure that IC subcontractor personnel or the CSU personnel are trained for LOTO as well as safety induction. • Should maintain coordination with other disciplines for the system commissioning. • Should coordinate with HSE department during commissioning and ping any unsafe place or activity to their attention. • Responsible for approving the LOTO permits in accordance with the site approved LOTO procedure and coordinating with the LOTO administrator for any LOTO related activity. • Responsible for reviewing all the project TOP documentation related to IC discipline and coordinate with QAQC or construction department for completing the TOP database. • Responsible for preparing daily reports of the doneplanned IC activities. • Responsible for better coordination with the client design company and the site departments. • Responsible for operation and maintenance of the instrument or control system which is commissioned. The precommissioning IC activities include the instrument testing calipation cable tests panel tests controller tests etc. The commissioning IC activities include the energization of the instrument or controller functional tests hot loops with DCS communication link tests etc. Our client is looking for Lead I C Commissioning Engineer meeting the following requirements • Engineering Degree. • 10 years Commissioning experience with Siemens Gas Turbine.
