DRILLING FLUIDS ENGINEERMy client is a Global operating company based in Abu Dhabi with a focus on onshore operations and shallow water developments in the UAE. They are currently expanding their team and require a Drilling Fluids Engineer to join them.The Drilling Fluids Engineer will be required to Supervise cement mud waste management activities on drilling and workover rigs.Evaluate recommend engineering concepts designs development for drilling workover operations.Advise on the viability of new techniques and technologies relevant to cement mud waste management activities. Ensure technical integrity HSE requirements are met cost effectively throughout the well life cycle. Participate in tender preparation evaluation and contractors' prequalification and selection.Ensure safe economic technically sound decisions are taken to meet company's requirements. Act as an authority functional advisor on all aspects of cement mud waste engineering.Accountabilities will includeSupervises the activities of assigned personnel and the mudcement laboratory. Performs supervisory functions and exercises financial authorities at the level established for the position.Challenges current practices and develops innovative solutions to alleviate operational problemsIntroduces new techniques technologies to improve efficiency quality in well construction.Troubleshoots related operations and advises on remedial techniques.Defines technical requirements and contractual strategies for the relevant contracts. Evaluates bids and recommends award strategy.Supervises the performance of relevant contractor to ensure efficient cost effective operations.Monitors closely the cost of the cement drilling fluid and recommends necessary action to optimize cost. Prepares relevant budgetsReviews laboratory testing procedures and recommends new equipment procedures. Set up studies objectives to be performed by lab personnel. Assess studies results.Presents and publish the results of the implementation of new practices and technologies. Participates in task forces work groups with other Departments PDD HSED OSD etcPerforms other related duties such as preparation of various studies related to cement mud and completion fluids.Keeps abreast of technological development in the field of mud and cement engineering in the oil production industry and recommends their adoption by the company.Participates in the training and development of assigned UAE national employees. Administer on the job trainingfamiliarization programs and reports on progress.Knows the Company health safety and environmental policy procedures regulations and objectives as they relate to his area of responsibility and ensures that they are effectively implemented in his domain.Job RequirementsYou should hold a BSc.
