Job descriptionThe Procurement Operations PRO Section has the responsibility of procuring items equipment consumables and Services for FBS Department for MOQ Operation onshore and offshore the objective being to harvest commercial synergies through right quality visible cost savings timely deliveries and favorable commercial terms conditions. In line with global legislative requirements and Maersk Oil Qatar MOQ processes procedures and business objectives.The position holder shall in addition to concentrating on executing timely and successfully the ‘Request to Pay flow’ support colleagues by providing functional advice when required thereby helping to position PRO as a valueadding business partner of MOQ.We Offer Maersk Oil Qatar AS offers a wide range of education and career opportunities for employees possessing necessary skills and competencies.Key Responsiblities•Monitor the list of PRs of own area of responsibility and continuously execute with appropriate actions till financial closure of the commitment. including PE PO INV processing.•Ensure full compliance with and understanding of MOQ business process and SAP ERP system.•Observe and comply all MOQ safety rules and regulations.•In addition to own area of responsibility support the Supply Chain activities as required.•Demonstrate cost awareness thus minimizing Maersk Oil expenditure.•Prioritize and execute PRs for complex or high value or highly urgent items. •Actioning the procurement processes for the identified PRs – from scouting for vendors to negotiations and evaluation of quotes bids and awarding the contract if required to expediting invoicing and monitoring developing vendor performance across the process.•Liaise between the global and local stakeholdersMO requisitioning departments quality control warehousing logistics legal support functions and vendors. •Ensure satisfactory knowledge of all technical requirements in terms of the exact scope with quantity and quality specifications and timeframes.•Proactively analyze frequently procured items and suggest inputs for supply chain improvements Contract agreements and participate in its preparation work when required.Who we are looking for35 years of relevant procurement experience in the Oil Gas Industry preferably in the MidEast•In depth knowledge of supply base associated with Oil Gas Industry preferably in MidEast•Strong interpersonal skills which result in teamwork influence trust and well developed internal and external relationships•Ability to prioritize and manage workload to meet demanding targets and working to tight deadlines•Selfmotivated with the ability to work under own initiative but also as part of a busy team•Strong analytical skills and problem solving ability•Results orientated with good negotiation and conflict resolution skills•Excellent PC skills with sound knowledge of Microsoft Office work packages Word Excel etc•Solid SAP Experience•Welldeveloped written and verbal communication skillsLast application date 03 May 2014.maerskoil.comMaersk Oil Qatar AS is the leading oil producer offshore Qatar and a recognized pioneer in oil development and production techniques.
