Senior Regional Advertising Officer

Job Description


To support the Senior Manager Brand Advertising in the development and implementation of regional advertising plans in multiple markets.


Major Areas of Responsibility



  • Assessment of markets

  • Development of media plans

  • Booking of media plans

  • Developing campaign materials

  • Supplying campaign materials

  • Postcampaign evaluation

    Primary Objectives



    • To be instrumental in planning activity for markets by conducting market assessment studies.

    • To direct and instruct media buying partners in the planning and booking of media.

    • To work with Dubaibased agencies to deliver advertising and communication materials.

    • To appoint inmarket agencies when required.

    • To evaluate the effectiveness of activity ndash including costeffectiveness.

    • To develop a strategy for providing support to the trade channel.

      Specific Responsibilities of the Job


      Development and implementation of regional advertising plans in multiple markets



      • Assess short medium and longterm communication opportunities in markets.

      • Develop marketing activity plans on a marketbymarket basis.

      • Plan and book suitable traditional and nontraditional media for each market through a media partner

      • Deliver brandbuilding and tactical campaigns for markets in accordance with a dripburst strategy.

      • Manage material supply for all activity through Dubaibased and inmarket partners.

      • Evaluate the effectiveness of activity on an ongoing basis.

      • Ensure activity is on brand and on message and meets the communication objectives of the business.

      • Commission research which can validate or challenge our advertising strategies.

      • Appoint inmarket partners mediacreative where necessary.

      • Drive innovation in communicationchallenge traditional ways of doing things.

      • Provide trade marketing support for agents in markets.

      • Manage individual market budgets responsibly.

        Required Knowledge Skills Abilities


        Job requirements



        • Broad knowledge and experience in advertising from agency or clientside.

        • Above average skills in proofreading.

        • Excellent skills in problemsolving.

        • Demonstrated ability to manage projects within challenging timescales.

        • Demonstrated abilitynbsp to communicate effectively.

        • Demonstrated ability to influence and negotiate with internal and external stakeholders.

        • General knowledge of agency working practices.

        • Experience in project management including financial management

        • Other excellent command of English language ndash written and spoken.

          Education Experience



          • Degree or equivalent experience educated to university level.

          • Years of experience six.

          • Specialised training agency background preferred.
