Industrial Safety Specialist Engineer

Job Description

Job Purpose

To support the implementation of Company Health amp Safety policies programs and procedures during the construction of the nuclear power plant in order to provide the highest level of safety to all employees premises and assets.

Key Activities and Responsibilities

Activity Safety Monitoring

• Evaluate physical risk and conduct Risk Assessment


• Conduct investigations regarding accidents to determine their causes and makes recommendations to prevent recerrence.


• Conduct daily inspections and report them to his line manager.


• Follow all relevant departmental Health amp Safety policies processes standard operating procedures and instructions to ensure Health amp Safety compliance in all aspects of work in accordance with sound management practices by applying these HS policies and procesure to self and others to take reasonable care for the health and safety of people who are at the employee's place of work who may be affected by the employees acts or omissions at work


• Attend and support all major activites at site whenever requested by the management.

  • Provide input into development of appropriate training programs to educate all company staff on health and safety systems and procedures and conduct industrial safety induction and development training to ensure transfer of knowledge.
    
    
    

    Requirements

    
    

    
    
    • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Science or equivalent
    
    
    • IGC NEBOSH Certificate
    
    
    • 2 4 years relevant experience in a construction environment
    
    
    • Exposure to power plant oil amp gas and utilities
