Logistics Officer

A leading manufacturer and supplier of residential and hospitality carpets in the GCC and beyond based in Abu Dhabi is now recruiting for Logistics Officer who will be reporting into the Supply Chain Manager.



Job Objective



• Plan coordinate and monitor logistics support incoming and outgoing to company's operational activities. Making sure that shipments are in time as planned and documentation is accurately prepared.



Responsibilities



Outgoing



• Contact approved vendors providing logistics services.

• Prepare comparison sheet detailing price terms of payment and terms of delivery submit for review and approvals.

• Forward approved comparison to purchase officer to prepare purchase order.

• Ensure the deliveries are taking place in accordance to the scheduled plan.

• Manage and coordinate all activities related to the shipping or delivery of the goods to the customers.

• Collect control and forward all documents delivery note signed by customerinvoice and purchase order to account department for payment.



Incoming



• Review the ETA of shipments.

• Follow up with shipping lines for the expected date of vessel arrival.

• Upon receipt of original documents from account department for certain shipment prepare three copies of invoice BL certificate of originpacking list with trade license and submit with original to PRO to prepare delivery order MSDS and fill out environment application for chemical items .

• Upon receipt of delivery order prepare custom exemption duty online to obtain job order.

• Submit job order to PRO for material clearance.

• Knowledge of oracle or any similar system.

• Knowledge of purchasing methods and procedures.

• Knowledge of incoterms.



Education and experience



• Business Degree

• Five years of experience in similar position
