Senior Contract Administrator
Urgently seekin a Lead Contracts Administrator to work with us on a new project on a Sulphur Handling Plant. The scope of works is Electrical amp Instrument so ideally we are looking for candidates who have EampI project experience but this is not essential. This is a contract position expected to last for at least 1 year with the possibility for exention.
Rotation is 12 weeks on 2 weeks off
Accommodation is is provided free
Rotational flights are provided to home country

The Contracts Lead is a Kentech representative who will provide support in all contractual aspects on Projects. He should provide support in negotiations of contracts identify risks monitor and provide guidance to the Senior Management on any contractual aspects during from the award phase during execution and final handover stage of a Project.
The aim is to accomplish the project’s specific goals and objectives through the delivery of a high quality end product to the client in a safe and timely manner within budget and to ensure that the company’ contractual obligations are met.
Contract Review and Negotiation
- Provide the ContractsCommercial input to all Opportunity Risk Registers ORR’s identifying all areas of risk and exposure and recommending appropriate mitigating treatmentaction.
- When required assist in the negotiation of major contracts with a focus on improving the commercial terms.
- Transfer contract knowledge and information to the Project Management team upon Contract award including the identification of key areas of risk.

CommercialClaim Negotiations
- Assume the role of the company’s resident expert on the development and positioning of claims.
- Direct the preparation of claims providing advice on contractual and legal entitlements.
- Provide feedback and advice to Senior Corporate and Regional Management on claim entitlements the status of claim preparation and negotiations that are being conducted by Project Directors Projects Managers Project Commercial Managers andor Claims Consultants.
- Support commercial negotiations and advise on strategy and positioning from the presentation of the claim document through to final negotiations and commercial resolution.
- Escalate to Corporate Manager any commercial issue that represent risk or exposure for the company.
- Provide input and support to any unresolved commercial issues that move into a formalised dispute resolution legal process e.g. arbitration court 3rd party resolution.
- When required liaise with lawyers to obtain any necessary legal advice.

Leadership
- Establish implement and continuously improve a Contract Management Procedure and an accompanying suite of standard commercial and contractual documents for use in all regions.
- Define a set of key documents and correspondence that needs to be maintained on every Kentech Project.
- Frequently conduct audits of projects to ensure that all contract commercial documents are kept up to date and ensure that appropriate action is taken against all findings particularly on major unit rate and lump sum projects.

Procurement
- Work with the procurement function to continuously improve equipment and materials purchase order terms and conditions rental agreements and subcontract agreements and associated documents for service providers.
- Participate in the commercial negotiation of the major material orders and service subcontracts.

Training and Development
- Provide hands on training and guidance to Project Managers Commercial Managers and Quantity Surveyors.

Other
- Provide input to other legal commercial matters as they pertain to the group and provide input assistance accordingly e.g. partnership or Joint venture agreements.
