Position Title Director Regional Compliance
Function Compliance –Customs Trade Regional
Job Summary
The Director of Regional Compliance will report directly to the Business Unit President and is responsible for supporting the regional facility based compliance managers. The Director of Regional Compliance will have an indirect reporting line to the Vice President of Global Compliance for Rig Systems and Aftermarket in order to ensure an effective Compliance Management System that drives continual improvement efforts while also focusing on reducing our customs and trade exposure. Additionally the Director of Regional Compliance is responsible for the oversight and alignment of all aspects of Rig Systems and Aftermarket’s compliance improvement efforts including standardization of processes and procedures establishment and implementation of strategic plans coaching and competency of the compliance organization and facilitating change throughout the business segment.
Responsibilities
The position of Director Regional Compliance will have responsibility for but not limited to the following job duties
• Establishing strategic plans and procedures in alignment with business segment and company direction.
• Oversight and support to the Compliance group regional operations in order to ensure full and consistent implementation and adherence to NOV compliance policies and procedures.
• Responsible for leading the development of compliance goals and objectives and monitoring performance of the regional operations group.
• Development of metrics and trending information to measure performance and to analyze the information to drive actions as required.
• Provide quality coaching and mentoring to employees to facilitate change throughout the organization and foster a culture of compliance and continuous improvement.
• Interface directly with other departments as it pertains to compliance issues.
• Perform other work related tasks as assigned.
• Audit current processes and procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance with NOV compliance policies procedures and governmental regulations.
• Evaluate amp maintain document files in conjunction with Corporate Compliance in accordance with regulations
• Facilitate workshops and arrange tactical level training as required to supplement Corporate level training and to ensure policies and procedures are implemented as expected.
Skills
Qualifications Requirements
•Four 4 years of college education or comparable Compliance related work experience.
•Minimum of seven 7 years’ experience in a Compliance role.
•Proven ability to provide leadership and discipline in establishing and achieving Compliance goals and objectives.
•A proven leader who has dealt with multicultural teams
•Ability to work in a team environment.
•Ability to coach and mentor personnel at all levels of the organization.
•Master level knowledge of HS classification.
•Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with multiple groups in order to build trust and encourage cooperative efforts.
•Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to perform under pressure and to adjust to changing priorities.
