Operations Supervisor – Credit Cards


Job Purpose




The Card Operations Supervisor is essentially responsible to coordinate and manage the operations of the Card Services Department the subsequent network operations vendor interactions system changes and any new product introductions.




Key Responsibilities




To ensure system optimality within the Card Services Department the Card Operations Supervisor is responsible for daily system situation monitoring including




1. Monitoring downtime in the network operations of ATM VISA and MasterCard and undertaking remedial action




2. Initiating system updates




3. Generating system profiles as needed definition of billing schedules implementation of fee profiles etc.




4. Receiving and channeling new system requirements to the IT department




5. Preparing testing and coordinating for the implementation of new system updates or requirements.




To supervise daily operational performance in the Credit Services Department the Card Operations Supervisor is responsible for




1. Revision of fraud monitoring reports generated by the Security Officer




2. Revision of merchant payments reports generated by the Merchant Supervisor




3. Ensuring that all transactions are credited daily without discrepancies this involves supervision of payments updates GL updates manual cash advance payment processing etc.




To supervise vendor interactions the Supervisor shall handle operation updates security bulletins chargeback or accounting related or fee related issues and shall ensure the dissemination of any new vendorrelated requirements throughout the department.




Upon the introduction of new products the Supervisor shall develop a check list of user acceptance testing test the system and recommend testing results in order to ensure proper functioning of the system.

Decide which staff has access to system inquiries and who is allowed into the maintenance level in order to coordinate system access and safeguard system resources.

To ensure adequate service delivery the Supervisor shall confirm the quality and timeliness of the service ensure that customer requirements are promptly handled motivate staff to complete their assigned targets and ensure that there is sufficient backup when teams leave
