The IT Sales Agent’s role falls into three main areas of presales sales and postsale support of solutions across a portfolio of products and services to businesses. Presales activities involve giving detailed information about technical specifications and the ways in which they could meet customer’s needs and where applicable demonstrating those features. The actual sales area involve negotiating a commercial agreement to the benefit of both the customer and the organization. Postsales activities shall include managing the account identify customer’s ongoing requirements and selling addon products such training maintenance etc…

Principal Tasks amp Responsibilities

·nbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbsp Understand customers' diverse specific business needs and apply product knowledge to meet those needs.
·nbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbsp Ensure quality of service by developing a thorough and detailed knowledge of technical specifications and other features of customers' systems and processes
·nbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbsp Identify and develop new business through networking courtesy and followup calls
·nbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbsp Coldcall in order to create interest in products and services generate new business leads and arrange meetings
·nbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbsp Prepare and deliver customer presentations and demonstrations of the products andor services confidently
·nbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbsp Maintain awareness and keep abreast of constantly changing networking systems and peripherals
·nbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbsp Contribute in developing effective sales plans using sales methodology
·nbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbsp Network with existing customers in order to maintain links and promote additional products and upgrades
·nbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbsp Refer on to specialist technical colleagues to handle hardware or software problems and faults as a postsale responsibility
·nbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbsp Respond to tender documents writing proposals and reports
·nbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbsp Meet sales targets set by managers and contributing to team targets
·nbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbsp Manage own diary in order to organize and prioritize daily and weekly goals
·nbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbspnbsp Contribute to team meetings to communicate business standing and assist in issues resolution.

Education

onbspnbspnbsp Computer Science Computer Engineering or Software Engineering

Knowledge amp Experience

1 2 years’ experience of a customer service or sales environment Proven record of achieving or exceeding sales targets Demonstrated ability to build successful customer relationships A good level of technical understanding with enthusiasm for new technology and its commercial uses
