Job Purpose

• To lead the development of an appropriate regulatory framework for the organization while ensuring implementation is in alignment with local federal and international standards

  • Develop and recommend improvements to departmental policy and directs the implementation of procedures and controls covering all areas of Legislation and Regulations activity so that all relevant procedurallegislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality costeffective service to customers.

  • Supervise the daytoday operations of the Legislation and Regulations function to ensure that work processes are implemented as designed and comply with established policies processes and procedures.

  • Benchmark new andor updated legislation laws and regulations in the UAE and internationally to recommend changes to the regulatory framework of the organization
  
  
  • 
    
  
  
  • In collaboration with the Department Head assist the management in achieving the regulatory objectives of the stakeholders while participating in leading the establishment of legislations regulations policies and decrees.
  
  
  • 
    
  
  
  • Review amend and submit for approval draft MOUs SLAs agreements communications and contracts with third partiesauthorities to ensure compliance and protect the interests of the organization
  
  
  • 
    
  
  
  • Liaise with external legal counsel ensuring that a sound legal service is provided to the organization and that the organization’s interests are protected and exposure is minimised.

  • Assist in the representation of the organization in all legal issuesdisputes and coordination with the Rulers Court through preparation and submission of court responses memorandums and pleadings
  
  
  • 
    
  
  
  • Serve as the secondary legal representative of the organization by providing the Tribunal with the application and description of the case and coordinate with the Tribunal to provide legal perception views required information or appeal process and finally enforce the implementation of the Tribunal decision.

  • Collaborate with different stakeholders in order to create a compelling and compliant proposal to present to the Dubai Ruler’s Court for review and approval

    Skills

    
    

    Excellent EnglishArabic language and communication skills particularly writing skills
    
    Knowledge of local free zone laws rules and regulations in the region
    
    Experience in lobbying and regulation
    
    Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
    
    Proven ability to build and manage relationships
    
    Extensive experience and proven track record in leading teamsworking groups and in managing external stakeholders
