Follows an individual work plan and meets daytoday shortterm objectives. Has the ability to resolve issues through immediate action or shortterm planning.Responsible for importexport and logistics coordination. Act as a customs broker supports import and export customs transactions in a compliant and efficient manner. Process inventory brokerage and freight invoices for payment. Essential Responsibilities • Audits shipping documents for compliance with regulations GE Enterprise Standards and Policies and contractual documents • Validates amount of regulatory customs payment to be paid to customs • Provides for all customs process documents are delivered to GE for control processing and retention in due time to meet internal policy and external regulatory requirements • Audits customs documentations including brokers' invoices customs declarations and supporting documents • Supports development testing and implementation of new projects processes systems and tools • Works with available IT systems and tools to contribute to automation of processes and increase productivity • Manages customs clearance process from shipment preparation at origin till delivery to final destination • Makes sure that all required documents for customs clearance are collected and provided to the approved customs representative in due time • Follows up all steps of customs clearance process with customs representative • Ensure all verbal and written interaction with all business partners is at highest professional standards • Collects data and prepares reports to meet specific regulatory requirements • Collects data and metrics from external and internal parties to meet internal reporting and monitoring requirements • Perform operations and support implementation of processes• Communicate and escalate any process or compliance failures• Provide on the job training and support to new team members• Importexport coordination• Logistics coordination• Request or compile necessary import documentation such as customs invoices certificates of origin and cargocontrol documents• Apply for tariff concessions or for duty drawbacks and other refunds• Record information in the customs inventory control system• Keep record Audit requirement• Record keeping• Process inventory brokerage and freight invoices for payment • Negotiate price terms and performance agreements with custom brokers and manage continuous improvement of their performance QualificationsRequirements •·Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college • Preferably with more than 4 years of relevant working experience in Customstrade compliancerelated operations or consultancy • Preferably with more than 1 year of relevant working experience on processing trade bonded management • Excellent analytical problemsolving writing interpersonal and communication skills • Selfstarter creative exhibits ownership initiative clear thinker and able to work as a team • Proactive with strong leadership growth potential be willing to stretch and results oriented. • Handson and ability to autonomously handle multiple priorities in a high demanding international environment• Excellent on Microsoft PC application • Excellent Arabic and English communication skills • Working experience in other MNC is an advantage Desired Characteristics • Incountry Professional Customs Certification or Accreditation • University degree in a Customs related area such as transportation foreign trade trade law or finance accounting preferred • more...
