Our Regional team of Engineers supports the current operation and maintenance of Gas Turbines Steam Turbines Generators as well as their Controls Protection and Accessory systems. Our Engineers support all turbine related equipment from the time the equipment is installed until it is decommissioned. Product Service Engineers are focal points for problem resolution for our customers. Duration of this contract is up to 1 year Essential Responsibilities As a Graduate Management program Product Service Engineer you will be responsible for upholding GE's product integrity by proactively identifying customer issues investigating technical anomalies providing technical assessments at both component as well as systems levels and communicating GE technical solutions to customers. Tasks specific to a role have the role designation in brackets at the endï‚§Respond to internal and external customer requests for technical issue resolution using technical product knowledge and analytical skills while adhering to sound engineering principles standards practices procedures.ï‚§Escalate issues as required acting as the liaison between the field and design engineering to drive specific technical resolution and to help engineering identify drive corrective actionsï‚§Establish and maintain relationships with customers to make customer technical issuesrequirements understood and addressed in a timely mannerï‚§Lead and program manage root cause analysisinvestigation activities for product technical issues. Interface with Product Service System and Design Engineering teams providing technical leadership to personnel supporting project assigned to resolve customer technical issue. Document technical data generated by the assigned project consistent with engineering policies and proceduresï‚§Prepare technical presentations for GE Leaders and Customers ensuring the timely communication of significant issues or developmentsï‚§Plan and provide engineering technical oversight Outage Excellence to the Contractual Services and Field Services teams during planned outages to meet reliability and availability goalsï‚§Provide engineering leadership and technical guidance for all new unit installations in the region Red Flag Review process during the commissioning phase to meet safety quality and timeliness goalsï‚§Partner with the Services Engineering teams and interface with external and internal suppliers to facilitate the logistical implementation of Fleet Program technical solutions QualificationsRequirements ï‚§Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineeringï‚§Fluent in English and Arabicï‚§Must be willing to work off hours and weekends to support emergency issue resolutionï‚§Computer skills MS Word Outlook PowerPoint and Excelï‚§Experience writing technical reportsï‚§Good team player research and organizational skills keen to learn proactive attitudeï‚§Excellent communication skills enthusiasm and commitmentï‚§Familiar with the Middle East and Africa Power generation marketï‚§Must be willing to relocate as business needs change Desired Characteristics ï‚§Experience working directly with customersï‚§Strong technical aptitude including applicable engineering tools and systemsï‚§Strong oral and written communication skillsï‚§Strong interpersonal and leadership skillsï‚§Experience working with field data and informationï‚§Strong Microsoft Office and PC skillsï‚§Preference will be given to candidates' who have a strong more...
