Qatar's Expressway Programme is one of the largest road building projects in the world and you could be a part of it. A talented multinational programme management team is employed on the Expressway Programme including specialists in



project management engineering project controls logistics quality management risk management information management health and safety and public relations.



The Expressway Programme comprises a complex network of over 730 km of multilane expressways underpasses flyovers and multilevel interchanges designed to integrate with various modes of transport. It will produce some of the most functional and iconic streetscapes in the world.

THE ROLE

Reporting to the Engineering Manager the roles is to support the management and coordination of all engineering design during the life of the programme.



MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Liaison with the design support team to manage and coordinate all of the engineering design for the programme across all phases of work in the design process


• Participating in value engineering reviews


• Auditing compliance against standards policies procedures and best practises for engineering on the Programme


• Monitoring compliance against the approvals requirements including regulatory authorities for the Programme


• Participating in the process of design reviews and implementation of independent design checks constructability reviews and value engineering


• Liaison and coordination between the Designers in the development of engineering work packages


• Ensuring that Health Safety Environment and Security requirements are properly considered and included in all stages of the design process


• Confirming that necessary approvals are obtained from certification bodies
  
  
  
  EXPERIENCE SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
  
  

  
  
  • Minimum of 10 years design and project management experience
  
  
  • Undergraduate degree
  
  
  • Knowledge of engineering aspects of major civil and infrastructure projects
  
  
  • Excellent report writing and communication skills
  
  
  • User of MS Office
  
  
  • Preferably previous experience of projects in the Middle East
