WSP in the Middle East has a number of exciting opportunities to join the Supervision team on major projects throughout the UAE.



The Resident Engineer has responsibility for organising the day to day supervision of the Contractors operations and ensuring that the works are constructed in accordance with the specification and drawings.



Responsibilities

To lead a multidisciplinary site based team generally comprising of but not limited to.

bull Construction Planning

bull Quantity Surveying

bull Architectural

bull Structural Engineering

bull Mechanical Engineering

bull Public Health

bull Transportation

bull Health amp Safety



To oversee Site Construction Supervision Services generally comprising of the following

bull Contract Administration including acting as the Engineer under FIDIC

bull Coordination and liaison with the design team



Management of the site technical team overseeing

bull Contractors submittals

bull Managing the quality of the construction

bull Monitoring progress on site Contract Administration including issuing instructions cost management reviewing contractors claims

bull Preparation of reports to the employer



Requirements

Degree educated with minimum of 15 years' experience in undertaking the role of a Resident Engineer 5 years of which shall have been within the Middle East on large multidisciplinary projects



The role will require the excellent communication skills for the production of reports and chairing of meetings.



You shall be familiar with a tight programme situation used to dealing with potential claims and ideally from a structures background.
