1. PRIMARY PURPOSE

Development amp Construction Cost Adviser and Financial Expert in all matters relating to Buildings Civil and other Engineering projects. The Quantity Surveyor is often referred to as a Cost Estimator of the Construction Industry.





2. DUTIES amp RESPONSIBILITIES

Managing costs on a wide variety of new Construction projects and structures.

Evaluate quotations obtained from different suppliers amp subcontractors ensure quantities and specifications are in line with tender and projects specifications.

Undertaking costs analysis for repair and maintenance project work.

Assist in preparing cost estimate for different phases of the project advice the project management on possible cost over runs and on the action necessary to remain within the approved project budget.

Assisting in establishing a client's requirements and undertaking feasibility studies.

Preparing early stage budgets and detailed cost plans.

Performing risk and value management and cost control.

Advising on procurement strategy.

Preparing tender and contract documents including bills of quantities.

Identifying analyzing and developing responses to commercial risks.

Preparing and analyzing costs for tenders.

Establishing and operating cost and financial control systems.

Allocating work to subcontractors.

Negotiating to ensure budgets are not exceeded.

Providing advice on contractual claims.

Analyzing outcomes and writing detailed progress reports.

Valuing completed work and arranging payments.

Developing knowledge relevant to contract conditions and their applications.

Maintaining awareness of the different building contracts in current use.

Understanding the implications of health and safety regulations.

المهارات

Minimum 7 years experience in related field.

Analytical skills and Ability to Negotiate are essential.

Industry Network with ability to obtain Construction Rates in Local area.

Comprehensive knowledge of Quantity surveying Software.

Able to read drawings properly measure quantities study contractual and tender documentations and prepare invoices variation orders control subcontractors invoices and work performed quality and quantity of material ordered and supplied.

Excellent command of English language.

Thorough and meticulous on specification and details.



Bachelor's Degree in relatedengineering field.

GCC experience is a great advantage.
