Environmental Specialist



Our client who is a leading Oil and Gas operator has the following requirement for a Environment Specialist to join their team on a residential basis in Qatar.



Key responsibilities



Assists the Head of HSE Drilling to develop the Environmental Management System EMS for all drilling and well servicing activities.

Leads the implementation and control of the EMS. Maintain functional liaison with Corporate Environment and legalenvironmental bodies specifically the SCENR.

Prepares the environmental objectives and targets and establishes a Management Programme to monitor the same.

Prepares and implements the Annual Audit plan and oversees the Department's Environmental training.

Maintains procedures for environmental incidents and emergency situations linking them to the Corporate Emergency Response Plan.

Responsible for the Environmental NonConformance Reporting system. Evaluates the impact of global environmental issues on drilling activities.



Key requirements



At least 8 years experience in the petrochemical industry
