Job Description Terminal Operations Manager UAE



An International Mid and Downstream organization have a requirement for a Terminal Operations Manager to join them on a staff basis in the UAE. The position reports to the General Manager.



Key Responsibilities



Review the daily operations oil movements stock control loss gain monitoring of the terminal.



Plan all the terminal operations and coordinate with other department in order to complete the task safely and efficiently.



Perform the routine inspection in the terminal facilities physically for safety and fire hazards and initiate action to correct deficiencies if any.



Arrange various safety and operation trainings audits tool box meetings conduct job risk hazard analysis for the smooth and safe operation of the terminal.



Investigate operation errors omissions losses and report such matters to GM. Act as an Emergency Main Coordinator as per ERP during an emergency.



Maintain high degree of housekeeping in the terminal areas and keep the terminal free of hazards at all times.



Prepare amend and update the necessary departmental work instructions Standard operating procedures training materials and provide the proper training OJT to all the operation staff.



Plan all the terminal operations maintenance project commissioning and its activities based on the priority and customer requirements and safe practice.



Prepare review and conduct various tests for evaluating operation employeesrsquo yearly performance appraisal.



Prepare capital and operating departmental budget and carry out a monthly review and take necessary action for controlling the budget. Interview and assess the potential candidates for the operation team as and when required.



Plan prepare and monitor all the facility commissioning and decommissioning work as per procedure and clients requirement in order to optimize the facility utilization.



Coordinate with logistics department for smooth safe fast and efficient operations as per the safety and client requirement.



Hold routine meeting with supervisory and operation staffs .Work as a tender committee member and evaluate the tenders as and when required.



Provide a clear and strong leadership and motivate the operation team to increase the teamrsquos as well as individual performance and output.



Train all the departmental staff on the job as per IMS standards SAPS and other standards.



Maintain proper communication between all the internal and external customers.



Strive for excellence in optimizing all the terminal operations through improvements and increase the output.



Always try for excellence by reducing delays rework waste slop and losses.



Keep confidentiality in the company business and operational matters.



Desired Experience amp Qualifications



Graduate University degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or Equivalent



Minimum 10 years of Oil Terminal experience as Terminal Supervisor or Terminal Manager



Skills



Sound knowledge of QHSSEIMSSAPS and all other terminal regulations and procedures.



Sound knowledge of Marine tanker operations Loading Master and other terminal operations.



Sound knowledge of engineering and technical details of the terminal facilities.



Sound knowledge of Computer application.



Strong foundation in spoken and written English.



Excellent communication skills.
