Construction Engineer

Job Description The Construction Engineer is accountable to the Central Processing Facilities CPF Site Manager and will be responsible for the following functionsBased at the engineering offices in Sharjah has responsibility for the Construction Engineering of the EPC Contractor during the design and procurement phase.o Has experience of large oil and gas projects preferably LNG plants or gas processing plantso Degree qualification preferred will give consideration to HNC depending on experience. o Primary link between operator Site amp operator Engineering activities.o Responsible for the management and effective closeout of BP STQs amp NCRs and coordinating with the offsite engineering teamo Oversight amp assurance of the EPC Contractors site technical change processes.o Organisation and management of HAZCONs.o Review and approval of selected Method Statements for major activities.o Maintain the risk register and update mitigations regularly ensuring adequate risk mitigation or contingency plans are in place.o Ensure all construction engineering activities are achieved within schedule and comply with HSSE and Quality requirements.o Set and monitor progress against KPIs and intervene in a timely manner when corrective action is required.o Contribute to the Project Execution Plan. o Updating of the Construction Execution Plan.o To coordinate with the Quality group including the timely close out of STQ NCRs etco The operator lead in Constructability Studies by the EPC Contractor and ownership of the Constructability logo Participate in regular ConstructionEngineering Interface meetings and participate in the resolution of design and engineering issues as they arise.o Review Construction Dossiers and performance manage delivery.o Ensure that site Design and Quality Verification informationdocument control is current and ensure that all responsibilities with regard to document standards and regulations are delivered.o Monitor construction handover to commissioning.o Monitor site need dates delivery arrangements and storage requirements.o Oversee and audit all preservation activities. o Review contractor's Progress Reporting and provide standard project reports to site leadership.o Monitor contract amendments and evaluate the need for and impact of changes.o Ensure alignment to preestablished information management system and quality of project deliverables to Commissioningarchive.o Provide input to post project reviews and closeout meetings.o Provide data to update FEL Reports and benchmarks for cost schedule amp operational performance.o Lead Interface activities with GWES GWO amp GOO. o Monitor offsite Fabrication schedules are in line with construction plans. o Monitor long lead and bulk material deliveries are in line with construction plans. o Overview of Petrofac mechanical completion system and ensure it aligns with operator mechanical completions system. o Ensure the more...
