Senior Network Engineer Kuwait

a. Principal Duties

i. Provides expertise ensuring seamless quality service delivery Ensures ongoing service levels for customer by facilitating problem resolution Participates in performing analysis of business and customer requirements Provides detailed IT consulting and manages customer expectations Analyzes business needs processes relations and constraints providing expertise for assigned area including deep knowledge of Networking applications Assists in developing business requirements for IT requests in the context of continual knowledge of customer needs Assists with monitoring of problem resolution and communication of status and solutions to customerbusiness process owners Provides consultancy including the design and management of infrastructure projects from feasibility study through detailed design and contract preparation to implementation and commissioning.

ii Assists in design implementation and maintenance of systems programs hardware and software including systems backups archiving and disaster recovery etc. Advices the purchasing of software hardware and other IT supplies in accordance with the business needs customers requirement meeting the prevailing standards of the Company and the Industry.

iii Identifies assesses and finds solutions to the various technical problems related to Networking systems and works in an office and industrial environment. Ensure the most costeffective and efficient use of Networking equipment Suggests and provides IT solutions to business and management problems

iv Suggests remedy on anticipated problems in services and equipment. Guides the engineers to visit and inspect sites regularly to see if to the quality of work equipment and notify the concerned authorities if any repair rectification and change are needed.

v Aware of National International government and company standards procedures and applies or follows them accordingly. Ensures all IT equipment complies with industry standards Works closely with other Teams and collaborating with other IT staff

vi Supports the project managers to achieve an end product that

• Meets the needs of the User

• Is delivered against agreed quality safety and environment standards

• Conforms to professional and recognised engineering standards

• Meets all safety requirements

vii Supports Project Managers in understanding development control and execution of their projects and ensures delivery to the User to the standard expected by the Company Manages projects and issues simultaneously in line with management priorities Assists in the identification of areas of Specialist Engineering input and provides where appropriate the resource when supporting Project Managers on technical issues Provides input to technical bid documents and estimates.

b Education

Bachelor of Science Engineering in Computer Science.

c Experience

i Minimum 10 years with thorough knowledge and experience in design and implementation of network solutions strong system engineering experience in designing data networks based on CISCO equipment. Working level knowledge in Industrial Ethernet based system from other manufacturers Hirschmann is desirable.

ii Experience in designing and implementation of network solutions for large facilities office complexes integration of networks technical evaluation of network solutions and networking equipment. High degree of technical knowledge needed to engineer solutions for the computing and communications environment. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work well with a wide variety of people with varying technical skills sets and business knowledge plus technical writing. Organizational skills to conduct systems and resource planning estimating and tracking. Capacity to create diagrams and documenting configuration and structure of all devices including cabling with their respective termination locations.

iii Experienced in the facilitation of team meetings delivers informative wellorganized presentations and understands how to communicate difficultsensitive information tactfully.

iv Project time management skills to manage activity definition sequencing duration estimation development and schedule control. Strong customer service skills to deliver quality results in a demanding environment.

v Writing skills to communicate information effectively to customers managers and technical staff. Must have full lifecycle experience of scoping analyzing planning designing implementing testing and releasing enterprise scale networking systems and solutions. Network and communications planning experience essential. Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities Ability to analyze operational requirements and assess information technology and capacity requirements Skill in budget preparation and fiscal management Knowledge of a broad range of relevant networking applications appliances and equipment Knowledge of current technological developmentstrends in area of expertise Ability to design develop and implement integrated hardwaresoftware systems solutions to organizational requirements Able to use structured problem solving skills and available tools to quickly evaluate problems identify root cause action plan impact and resolution options.
