Principle Electrical Engineer AMEC

Will be responsible for the delivery of Electrical Design deliverables to safety quality cost and time parameters including the management of discipline engineers and interdisciplinary coordination and to lead the Electrical Project Team in multidiscipline or electrical single discipline projects.

Achieve safety standards as defined in personal performance contract.

Be responsible for assessing effectiveness of working practices and systems with a view to continuously improving systems personal and team performance.

Carry out work in accordance with AMEC Blackcat and project Health Safety Environmental and Quality Systems.

Identify scope and schedule changes in accordance with the Change Control Process.

Maintain planning and cost control on all scopes.

Ensure that designs comply with the relevant Codes Standards Regulations and Procedures.

Ensure as far as is practically possible that all assigned work is carried out in compliance with the agreed budget and schedule.

Keep up to date with technical developments National and International standards and legislative requirements related to the discipline scope.

Prepare estimates and schedules and assist in their review.

Maintain discipline filing system.

Encourage and provide lateral learning within the project.

Provide technical assistance to discipline assigned personnel as required.

Maintain good communication with the Client.

Provide technical assistance to discipline assigned personnel as required.

Review check and approve work output of discipline assigned personnel as required.

Carry out initial site visits when necessary and may delegate follow up site visits to senior engineer if viable.

Assist the Contract Manager and others when requested in the execution of their responsibilities and duties.

Assist in the training and mentoring of graduates as required.

Liaise with Client146s Engineering and Operations for input to design as applicable under guidance of Engineering Manager.

Liaise with relevant vendors and suppliers to obtain design information
