Job Description
THE PROCESS
Biosecurity is a highly critical process. The outcome is the sustainability of the shrimp business unit. Primary focus is to ensure that biosecurity risks related to animals and water are mitigated under the animal health and water technologies divisions. The procedural support division deals with biosecurity standards controls and contingency measures.
THE ROLE
The main focus of this critical role is to manage the biosecure production of live feeds in order to deliver to the hatcheries nutritious and pathogen free live feeds.
The Live Feed Production Manager will report to the Head of Department and will interact essentially with
Biosecurity and Shrimp Production staff as well as with other departments consultants and authorities.
PRODUCTION OF ARTEMIA NAUPLII
Manage the biosecure production of Artemia Nauplii within optimum hatching rates and nutritional quality within
PRODUCTION OF ARTEMIA BIOMASS
Manage the biosecure production of Artemia biomass and its enrichment to optimum nutritional quality within
PRODUCTION OF ALGAE
Manage the biosecure production of microalgae from strains to large volumes within hatchery specifications
PREOPERATIONAL MAINTENANCE
Ensure that live feed production equipment is kept functional at all times following equipment specifications.
