Our client is a wellestablished and leading EPC amp Maintenance Contractor who provides services to clients within Oil amp Gas Petrochemical and Power Industries across the Middle East.



Due to continuous growth and the successful award of new projects our client is seeking an experienced Lead Contracts Specialist where you will be based in Das Island on rotation and responsible for the following



middot Reporting to the Commercial Manager you will coordinate identify develop and execute strategies for tenders and contracts



middot Maintain deep technical knowledge of project execution methodology



middot Evaluate contracts quotations and make legaltechnical recommendations



middot Be commercially astute and be capable of taking up assignments in all aspects of contracts and project control including cost control



middot Advise planning department project managers and operations departments regarding contractual rights and obligations



middot Evaluate and monitor contract performance to determine necessity for amendments or extensions of contracts



middot Attend negotiation meetings with clients



middot Coordination with estimationproposals team for the review of bid preparation process



middot Exercise authority a the level determined by management for the position



middot Establish control procedures standards and complete the assigned tasks within the stipulated time frame



middot Focus on the needs of the customerclient and strive to exceed their expectations



middot Develop and maintain working relationships between subordinates and superiors



You will need to be degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering with a legal background. You will have 10 ndash 15 yearsrsquo experience in the drafting of contracts MOUs including estimation experience in the Oil amp Gas Industry with demonstrated track record of successful construction contracts. You will have previous site experience in technical and supervisory capacities preferably within the gulf. Strong commercial and contractual knowledge as well as a deep technical understanding of project execution methodology and negotiation within meetings is required.
