Compliance Manager

. As part of a growth strategy our client a global bank is looking to hire a Compliance Manager to be based in their Qatar office. This is an excellent opportunity for a Compliance professional to have an impact on the growth and strategy of a core market within a distinguished bank.



As MLRO you will establish and maintain the branchrsquos anti money laundering policies procedures systems and controls. You will act as the point of contact to receive internal suspicious transactions reports from employees and take appropriate action to investigate and determine whether a corresponding external suspicious transaction report must be made. As MLRO you will establish and maintain an appropriate AML training programme.



In a compliance capacity you will liaise with the regulator to ensure the branch complies with the licence requirements and oversee the submission of periodic reports and returns. You will oversee the branch procedures on permitted activities rule breaches conflicts management personal account transactions communications and marketing client acceptance data protection and complaints handling.



In this stand alone compliance role you will be responsible for the compliance infrastructure and management reporting designing and implementing policies procedures systems and controls maintaining compliance manuals compliance monitoring and surveillance.



To be considered for this position candidates must be degree educated and have a minimum of 5 years compliance experience preferable within Private Banking Wealth or retail banking. Candidates must have knowledge and experience with either the DFSA or QFCRA. Excellent English communication is essential both verbal and written.
