Gerber Designer and Administrator
Job Description
Gerber Designer and Administrator is responsible for the development and maintenance of patterns based on existing and new designs for high quality frames Resistant Clothing.
Job Descriptions
Using Gerber Accumark software the designer
Creates productions patterns based on product specifications and varying fabric widths.
Plots and grades patterns including the transfer of handmade patterns into computer generated markers or plotting new designs directly into the software program.
Establishes and maintains an accessible library of all production patterns.
Proposes new designs from conceptual drawings and works with production staff to have product finished according to customerpatterns specifications.
Reviews pattern grading for accuracy and consistency.
Assists with the development of garment specification sheetsspecifications packs.
Offers suggestions to improve efficiency and quality of garments developed.
Interpret problem styles and identifies solutions.
Qualifications
With at least 3 to 5 yrs. of related experience in pattern making andor design.
Must have an attention to detail and an ability to get the job done working both independently and in collaboration with a diverse team.
Post secondary diploma or degree in textiles or a related field.
Working knowledge of GERBER Accumark is mandatory experience wother designs software considered
Proficiency in MS office including Microsoft word excel and outlook.
Ability to communicate effectively and have a good written and oral communications skills.
Ability to plan workload based on customerproject demands without daily supervision
Demonstrate commitment to excellent customer service.
Proven analytical and organizational skills.
