Position Description
GM Flowserve Al Rushaid Joint Venture
Reporting to Flowserve Al Rushaid Board of Directors and VPGeneral Manager EMA Aftermarket Operations
Location Dammam Saudi Arabia
Position Summary
The General Manager is responsible for driving the overall business performance of Flowserve Al Rushaid Joint Venture operations in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia including full PampL and balance sheet responsibility for the operation. The GM manages sales and oversees the design of the development and growth strategy in Saudi Arabia and is accountable for the execution and implementation of the resulting business plans. Of critical importance will be the close liaison with the partner Al Rushaid Investment Company key customers in particular Saudi Aramco and vendors to deliver the business performance as measured by revenue growth operating income cash flow cycle time reduction and on time delivery. CAGR gtx over next three years is expected.
Accountabilities
Management of the daytoday operations of FSAR under supervision of the JV Board of Directors.
Prepares with assistance from the Controller the Annual Profit Plan at the beginning of each fiscal year containing
Operating Plan
Sales Expenses and Administrative and General Expenses
Statement of Earnings
Balance Sheet
InterCompany Transactions and Balances
Capital Budget
Narrative Review
Prepares an Annual Report for FSAR following the end of each fiscal year. A copy of the Annual Report shall be sent to each Board Member.
Prepares with assistance from the Controller the Quarterly Forecasts monthly and annual reports and other reports which are submitted to the Board for review. The Annual Report shall include the regular monthly statements an inventory exception and adjustment report showing overages shortages and obsolescence.
Prepares bids and tenders under supervision of the Board.
Selects employees for FSAR based on the contractual requirements stipulated by FSAR's customers and in conformity with the criteria and terms and conditions approved by the Board.
Meets the Joint Venture financial plan and monthly forecasts for bookings sales GM operating income cash flow working capital and RONA.
Establishes the appropriate structure for Joint Venture operations and define the roles and key objectives of the associates so as to meet the business requirements.
Develops the business by focusing on existing and new customersmarkets striving for excellence of service and products whilst driving to achieve lowest cost manufacturing base.
Leads improvement within the company in the areas of environment health and safety productivity efficiency costs and expenses quality OTD and lead times by promoting CIP programs allocating resources and actively participating in teams work.
Ensures full compliance with local and applicable international laws development and establishment of Joint Venture policies and procedures with Executive Committee and Board of Directors and adherence to same.
Extensively communicates with managers and employees about the strategies plans and programs of the Joint Venture to promote involvement.
Actively develops and maintains a strong control environment that safeguards the Company's assets and reports accurate and timely financial information to Board of Directors and external bodies as appropriate
Operational support that sustains the geographic expansion strategy of FLAR.
Ensures development and training programs are in place to enhance the FLAR's talent pool. Recognize and promote talent.
Position Requirements
Education
A University degree in Mechanical Engineering or other related qualifications is preferred. An MBA or financial education will be an advantage.
Experience
Extensive operational experience in similar applications will be considered as well as demonstrable achievements in growth markets.
Possess comprehensive experience in rotating equipment products.
Show an ability to recognize and attract talent coach counsel mentor and lead organization.
Demonstrated ability to maintain and build positive working relationships with the Partner organization within the organization across department and division boundaries as well as with internal and external customers.
Have excellent communication skills with strong presentation and influencing capabilities.
Demonstrate leadership ability in a manufacturing environment.
Have strong cost center management experience as part of hisher respective operational responsibilities and have a solid track record in providing positive results.
Demonstrate experience in continuous improvement processes and tools and will be familiar with Lean Manufacturing practices.
Demonstrate experience with low cost sourcing.
A high energy level and a strong work ethic with the ability to instill these characteristics in others.
Possess superior multitasking skills able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and will also be very safety minded
