Subsea Engineer IRM Carlton Resource Solutions
Our client are a leading Oil and Gas Operator based in Aberdeen who are looking for a Subsea Engineer to provide IRM support on various projects within their Aberdeen office. This role is offered on a contract basis for 12 months but maybe extended thereafter depending on project requirements.
Working as part of a small team who are responsible for delivering all of their UK based subsea diving activities. In particular the upcoming Subsea Well Extension Project that involves the installation of a new subsea manifold and the connection of that to some of the existing subsea wells.
In addition the successful candidate will work on the emerging Inspection Repair and Maintenance Work scopes in fields operated by our client.
The successful candidate will report to the Subsea Systems Technical Authority.
In addition to supporting the ongoing diving works the team are responsible for the development of strategies with respect to ongoing technical challenges relating to the installed Subsea systems and associated Subsea control systems including umbilicals.
The installed equipment utilises various original equipment manufacturers equipment and various technologies that have been applied successfully over the past twenty years.
In particular the following workscopes have been identified for the candidate
Manage the replacement of four subsea gas lift choke inserts onto the XMT39s
Manage the replacement of a number of life expired hydraulic hoses
Manage the replacement of C3 Subsea Control Module
Manage the replacement of Subsea Control Module
Manage the umbilical integrity testing
Support the replacement of the Subsea Control Module
With regard to these identified workscopes the candidate would be expected to
Provide scopes of work to subsea installation contract and approve all subsea installationcommissioning procedures
Provide additional information as required to the subsea installation contractor
Manage the specification delivery inspection and FAT of all materials required for the works
Manage integration testing if applicable
Interface with other Departments such as Drilling Integrity and Operations
Travel offshore on the DSV to manage these workscopes
The position requires a candidate who has knowledge of piping systems valves manifold structures and subsea control equipment typical of a multiwell subsea development.
Although looking for a subsea engineer our client require a level of competence in relation to control systems as the work scopes all interface with the subsea production control systsems.
Successful candidate shall be qualified to degree level in a relevant engineering discipline or equivalent
Posess an excellent command of written and spoken English
Have a high degree of computer literacy and Microsoft software.
Experience of the design modification and maintenance of subsea systems is essential preferably with an Installation Contractor
The Successful candidate shall hold a current offshore survival and be willing to travel offshore onto either DSV39s or fixed installations to manage the work scopes.
