Software Tester

We are looking to recruit an experienced Software Tester. - Role: • Responsible for creating and executing tests against multiple software and instrumentation products. • Work as a software tester in an Agile-based software development group • Review software design and requirements documentation to understand the application functionality • Create and execute test cases, test scenarios and test plans • Perform manual testing and develop automated test scripts • Report software defects and interact with software developers to ensure they are fixed • Be the last line of defense before a product release • Ensure that all software is developed and documented according to company policies • Drive continuous improvement of testing and development practices within the team - Requirements: • BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field • Experience with various software testing methodologies and the software development life cycle, including agile software development • Knowledge of different types of testing • Experience with writing SQL statements to acquire and verify test data • Experience with scripting, or with automated software testing tools • Experience with the client during user acceptance test sessions • Certification in a related area is a plus • Excellent oral and written communication skills • Great command of the English language • Critical thinking skills • Excellent trouble shooting and analytical skills • Dedication and sense of responsibility • Independent judgment • Ability to work in a team environment • Willingness and ability to learn. • Analytical, flexible, innovative, and self-motivated • Quick and efficient, working with high performance within tight deadlines. • Ability to work well under pressure Please send your CVS at Jobs@itcanint.ca with subject: Software Tester
