Progressive Global Energy Calgary is currently seeking for Senior Project Controls SchedulersPlanners for a challenging position in the Calgaryoffice.



Responsibilities

• Providing comments and recommendations for planning and schedulingcost engineering requirements relative to staffing and project controls


• Reviewing design scope criteria and quantities for completeness and reasonableness


• Interfacing with designated management and client counterparts for specific planning and schedule presentations


• Participating in developing and presenting designated subjects in training classes and onthejob training programs


• Reviewing the representations of project scope in schedules


• Planning and supervising the effort to establish milestones for total project or major portions of the project


• Reviewing project work activities to ensure support of project milestones


• Providing supervision and assistance to planners in the development and integration of individual schedules into the total project plan


• Reviewing performing organization39s and unit39s work logics and determining adequacy of schedules in support of overall project schedule


• Supervising directing reviewing and evaluating schedule durations for all disciplines to support project milestones


• Supervising and directing calculation of durations and other considerations affecting activity durations


• Planning organizing and supervising schedule resource loading and levelling as well as project cost budgets


• Supervising directing and obtaining required schedule information for all disciplines


• Supervising and identifying schedule restraints and effect on total project schedule


• Working with all departments to ensure understanding of total project schedule needs


• Preparing and presenting planning and scheduling information to managementclients


• Preparing and facilitating interactive planning sessions and


• Planning and conducting both quantitative and qualitative risk analysis sessions.
  
  
  

  Qualifications

  
  

  
  
  • 5 15 years work experience
  
  
  • Project experience in Oil Sands management
  
  
  • Strong organizational planning and time management skills
  
  
  • Knowledge in both cost and scheduling
  
  
  • Proven ability to plan organize direct perform review and present project schedules and related documents
  
  
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem solving skills
  
  
  • Ability to work in a leadership role
