Production Technologist TA UK London STAFF

The Production Technologist Technical Authority shall provide expert Production Technology PT advice support and Functional AssuranceGovernance to worldwide. It is expected that the incumbent will be an expert in one or more of the following areas

• Completion option selection and design


• Sand prediction and control


• Stimulation and hydraulic fracturing
  
  
  

  The jobholder shall support principal activities in field development planning new ventures and acquisition and provide input and support to Corporate Technology Programme.
  
  
  
  The jobholder shall work with different functions comprising of Geoscientists Reservoir Engineers Well Engineers Petrophysicists and FacilitiesOperations Engineers.
  
  
  
  The jobholder shall interface with Asset Production Technologist39s to ensure best practices are employed for asset delivery as well as interfacing with the focal points for front end PT Well Interventions and flow optimisation with regard to new ventures and general Asset support.

  
  

  
  
  • Be a recognised expert in one or more areas of Production Technology and will provide expert advice in these areas across the Group as well as providing quality control of asset technical work in these areas.
  
  
  • Provide coaching to less experienced engineers as well as advise on competence development needs and solutions.
  
  
  • Work with the PT Technology focal point in Group Technology to define the technology development and implementation strategy in the areas of expertise.
  
  
  • Responsible for implementing maintaining and improving technical functional excellence for Asset projects. Involvement in Peer Assists and Technical reviews as required.
    
    
    

    Experience required

    
    

    
    
    • Possess a high level of expertise and experience in the area of expertise Completion option selection and design Sand prediction and control or Stimulation and hydraulic fracturing supported by a good level of knowledge across the entire PT skillset.
    
    
    • Be recognised as a professional expert and industry leader in functional area.
      
      
      

      Specialist knowledge required

      
      

      
      
      • The candidate must have a science degree or equivalent experience and have a significant breadth and depth of knowledge and be capable of taking forward concepts into field developments andor improved operations.
      
      
      • Significant working knowledge of Production technology practices PVT inflowvertical flow performance sand management completion design stimulation and integrated modelling.
