Our global EampP client is currently looking for a Principal Emission Management Engineer to join the Process Engineering Organisation based in the NAM Nederlandse Aardolie Maatschappij offices in Assen.



The Process Engineering Organization provides support to the Onshore Assets of NAM in the Netherlands Groningen and Land and in the Offshore assets in British and Dutch sectors of the Southern North Sea and the related Gas Plants in Bacton and Den Helder. The NAM is the most important producer of natural gas and oil in the Netherlands and is part of Shell Upstream International Operation UIO.



Responsibilities



Your main task will be to manage and support all technical reporting and reduction activities related to emissions to air and energy use including CO2 emission trading of the NAM Assets in the Netherlands.

  These activities will be carried out in close cooperation with other Surface and SubSurface Discipline Professionals Operations Maintenance Project Engineering Teams and the Health Safety Environment HSE and Legal Departments.

  With respect to these activities you will represent NAM in relations with external organisations such as NOGEPA NL Oil amp Gas Industry branche organisation NEA Dutch Emissions Authority SodM Statesupervison on the Mines other Government bodies and applicable auditors and verifiers. Consequently you will be involved in the details of emissions determination and reporting.

  You will via your supervisor advice the NAM management on Emission Trading and Management.

  The basic objective of these activities is that NAM complies with internal Shell and external rules and regulations Government legislation.

  
  
  
  

  
  
  As a Principal Emission Management Engineer you will

  
  

  
  
  • 
    

    Coordinate and lead technical activities related to emission trading EUETS such as permit requests monitoring and reporting verification audit followup work process improvement.

    
    
  
  
  • 
    

    Support the NAM production assets and project teams in building and maintaining Greenhouse Gas Emission and Energy Management Plans which includes identifying opportunities to reduce emissions to air and improve energy efficiency.

    
    
  
  
  • 
    

    Advise NAM management on Emission trading issues emissions to air reduction and energy efficiency in general.

    
    
  
  
  • 
    

    Represent NAM related to external technical discussions on emission trading emissions to air management and energy efficiency such as NOGEPA NL Oil amp Gas Industry branche organization NEa Dutch Emissions Authority SodM Statesupervison on the Mines other Government bodies and applicable auditorsverifiers.

    
    
    
    

    
    
    Requirements

    
    

    
    
    • 
      

      We are looking for a highly motivated Process Process Control or Environmental Engineer with a Master Degree in Chemical Engineering Process control or similar with

      
      
    
    
    • 
      

      Significant experience in the Oil and Gas Industry Refinery Industry Chemical Industry or Engineering Companies in Process Engineering roles or related functions.

      
      
    
    
    • 
      

      Extensive knowledge of the Dutch and European legislation on emissions emission trading and energy management.

      
      
      
      

      Candidates should be proficient Dutch and English speaking
