ABOUT THIS JOB

Baker Hughes has an opportunity for a Health Safety and Environment HSE Transportation Safety Manager to support the Enterprise HSE Function in the Middle East. This visible role is responsible for collaborating across operations and HSE to efficiently and effectively manage the HSE transportation program in support Baker Hughes' commitment to provide and drive continuous improvement in HSE. The role provides the leadership to ensure the HSE transportation program meets Enterprise and key stakeholder governance requirements while promoting best practices to affirm our commitment to HSE.







KEY RESPONSIBILITIESACCOUNTABILITIES

• Contributing member of the line function Leadership Team


• Partners with management to define strategies create HSE transportation safety plans and championsassures implementation to drive an HSE culture ensure crash free operations.


• Oversees transportation safety function for the Middle East Region


• Supervises mentors and coordinates the work of HSE Specialists to ensure compliance with government laws regulations and Corporate policies


• Prepares and manages budget and has position respective level Signature Authority for expenditures to deliver HSE requirements comply with companyclient requirements and meet government mandated HSE regulations


• Maintains accurate accounting of expenditures and costs associated with the function


• Set and manages progress against annual HSE culture and performance goals


• Coaches RegionalGeomarket line management in cultural aspects of transportation safety ownership


• Sits on relevant Management Team as an active member or as lead to ensure consistent application of Enterprise minimum HSE standards processes and procedures across the RegionGeomarket


• Fosters communication and sharing of best practices and solutions to specific HSE transportation safety issues


• Ensure effectiveness and efficiency by identifying opportunities to leverage HSE transportation safety improvement efforts and opportunities to share resources


• Provides appropriate transportation safety performance reports trends and analysis to the management team
  
  
  
  
  
  
  
  ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONSREQUIREMENTS
  
  

  
  
  • Proven written and verbal communication skills in English with the ability to effectively interact with all levels of management andor field location personnel where required
  
  
  • Strong organizational analytical problem solving multitasking consensus building and decisionmaking skills
  
  
  • Excellent leadership interpersonal communication team building and influencing skills
  
  
  • Willingness to work with people of different cultures and countries
  
  
  • Thorough understanding of safety regulations and regulatory process the ability to research analyze interpret and implement HSE regulations standards and best practices
  
  
  • Experience in HSE Management Systems and Auditing
  
  
  • Experience in Root Cause investigation techniques
  
  
  • Position relevant technical skills

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSREQUIREMENTS
    
    

    
    
    • 5 years of transportation operational experience preferred
    
    
    • Professional designations recognized by HSE certifying bodies CIHCSPCRSPASP CDS etc... preferred
    
    
    • Fluent in Arabic
