Drilling Equipment Discipline Manager Dubai LK01
Job Description Seadrill is a leading offshore deepwater drilling company aiming to be our customers' most important partner in making oil and gas available in a safe and costeffective manner. The purpose of this role is to support all Seadrill assets and regions to ensure Mechanical Drilling Equipment is maintained to its optimal operating condition to maximise uptime. This role is pivotal within Seadrill Operations Excellence group and works across all Assets and all functions within the company providing of reference for managing all maintenance work. The post holder will play a pivotal role in developing maintaining and deploying the maintenance strategy to the Assets and functions along with managing the planning input tools and relationships at the front end and the maintenance performance at the back end of the process. This is office based job with responsibility to work autonomously and as a team member with direct contact to regional and rig management organizations. The key responsibilities for the Drilling Equipment Discipline Manager are · Support all Seadrill regions and rigs in technical matters related to Mechanical Drilling Equipment and systems · Prepare and maintain maintenance strategies for Mechanical Drilling Equipment · Technical review all major down time events related to Mechanical Drilling Equipment o Root Cause Analysis o Maintenance in place during event and recent history o Maintenance tasks available in Standard Job Library o Remedial action follow up in Synergi · Development review and initiation of Maintenance Standard Jobs mechanical · Review of mechanical system designs and maintenance routines to maximise equipment uptime · Assist with ensuring that company policies and procedures for equipment maintenance and repairs are adhered to. · Review and development on maintenance based KPIâs · Generation and revision of Seadrill maintenance Directives. · Follow up used equipment overhauls and repair for compliance and certification · Assist with ensuring that company policies and procedures for equipment maintenance and repairs are adhered to. · Followup with vendor and manufacturer issues as and where required in order to achieve maximum results on Seadrill set goals and objectives. · Follow up on the implementation of corrective actions arising from vendors Product Information Bulletins and Safety Alerts and alerts · Direct timely review and distribution of latest alerts bulletins and advisories to all appropriate users and assets · Participate in strategic planning for 5 year SPS survey â equipment specific to support operations Education ¨ Formal education equivalent to college diploma within a technical discipline ¨ Long term industry experience â min 15 years Experience ¨ Demonstrated experience from similar drilling contractor position or equipment manufacturer OEM. ¨ Experience with drilling equipment and related operating systems â drilling operations and activities. ¨ Experience in drilling equipment maintenance overhaul and repair ¨ Experience of equipment failure investigation and root cause analysis. ¨ Shall be fully familiar with classification society and statutory practices and programs. Skills ¨ Excellent Skill in written and oral communication. ¨ Excellent planning and organisational skills with high attention to detail. ¨ Must be proficient in the use of computer and applications Microsoft Office database and internet search engines ¨ Must be proficient and familiar with CMMS software IFS 7.5 an advantage ¨ Skill in establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships within the team and with other employeesline manager. ¨ Skill in managing multiple priorities to meet deadlines. ¨ Must possess a systematic and analytical work style. ¨ High and proven level of report writing. ¨ Problem solver and creative thinker in order to provide solutions to improving the equipment performance and uptime ¨ Ability to interact with regulatory agencies and peers with selfconfidence poise and professionalism Knowledge ¨ Understand and comply with company policies and objectives. ¨ Experience of equipment failure investigation. ¨ Formal root cause analysis methods. ¨ Knowledge of eDocs ¨ Knowledge of Synergi applications advantage ¨ Ability to perform job duties with lit more...
