a Construction Specialist

Bridges Viaducts

who will be based in Saudi Arabia working on a Viaduct project.



Position Reports to Project Manager.



EXPERIENCEQUALIFICATIONS





·

An academic degree n CivilStructural Engineering and or a recognized professional qualification.





·

Over 15 years documented experience in a variety of major Bridges – Viaduct andor Metro Railway projects involving indepth knowledge of a multidiscipline environment.





·

Good understanding of Management Structure and mode of operations.





·

High level of analytical and communication skills.





·

Excellent organization administration skills.



RESPONSIBILITIES





·

Plans prepares organizes all Construction Method Statements and supervises the major functions of the construction associated in those statements.





·

Assists in the planning and coordination of all manpower and equipment materials supplies and subcontracted services towards the proper completion of the work related to these methods with approved drawings specifications cost and quality limitations.





·

Reviews all existing and incoming Method Statements dealing with area of responsibility prior to issue





·

to the Client.





·

Monitors Subcontractors at each stage of the work to ensure proper compliance with all technical aspects of the contract through both individual contacts and coordination meetings.





·

Checks claims for payment from all Subcontractors involved in section of the project to ensure technical accuracy and that proper contractual adherence to the specifications are met.





·

Assists in the procurement of permanent and non permanent materials required for the proper completion of the work on schedule.





·

Reviews all engineering design drawings of section of the project before passing them for use to group.





·

Exercises strict control over costs of construction particularly the use of labour materials and equipment.





·

Discusses and resolves daily site problems with site supervisors.





·

Monitors construction progress on a daily weekly and monthly basis and provides input to the regular reports to the Project Manager.





·

Maintains functional links with other unit heads in the project.
