CONSTRUCTION AREA MANAGER

Our client is a European Engineering Management Company established for 60 years and renowned internationally for customer focused project delivery. They are headquartered in Southern Europe with offices in several locations including Italy Romania Africa and the Middle East.



We are looking to recruit hundreds of professionals for a 700site 15M m2 prestigious construction project across Saudi Arabia one of the largest multisite contracts in the world and will consider wellqualified professionals and engineers of all disciplines.

To be successful in this role you will need to be a civil or architectural engineer holding a university degree or Masters in civilarchitectural engineering or project management from an internationally recognized university.

Skills

•Knowledge of practical application of engineering science and technology

•Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes client needs assessment meeting quality standards for services and evaluation of client satisfaction

•Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning resource allocation human resources modeling leadership technique and coordination of people and resources

•Broad experience in construction projects and overseeing construction project management quality control engineering execution and supervision of subcontractors

•Ability to specify project objectives and plans including delineation of scope budgeting scheduling setting performance requirements

•Experience in ensuring full coordination between all other discipline of construction team

•Experience in providing technical support and assessment of variations and claims when raised by contractor and any time or cost impact occurred because of any required scope changes

•Assist in preparation of the monthly reports and project status with respect to the project base lines

•Experience in assisting the top management to confirm that approved safety plans have been implemented by the contractor

•Ability to manage and coordinate in conjunction with the contractor the collection review and distribution of as built drawings and maintenance manuals

•Knowledge of calculations and evaluations in the design of equipment and systems for industrial and commercial applications

•Experience in planning cost development and management and scheduling for assigned projects

•Ability to direct activities to ensure that construction installation and operational testing conform to functional specifications recognized codes and standards and customer requirements

•Ability to maintain effective communication with project team members and with the customer

•Experience in reviewing payments of the contract

•Ability to communicate clearly and effectively orally and in writing

•Ability to interact successfully with all levels of personnel including contractors and intergovernmental agency contacts

•Ability to function effectively in a support role

•Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills

•Good judgment problem solving and analytical skills

•Ability to make logical decisions

•Ability to plan organize review and document wide range of project activities with good followthrough

•Fluent in reading writing and speaking the English language
