Job Summary The Manager IT Infrastructure is responsible for managing the daytoday operations of the IT Department Infrastructure Team including Help Desk and Network Engineering staff for assigned program according to departmental policies and procedures.

Principal Accountabilities

Typical duties include the following although specific duties vary by assignment or contract.

• 
  

  Ensure the smooth operation and elimination of problems from the network and functional area computers and ensure all computer systems and procedures are in compliance with applicable standards.

  
  


• 
  

  Optimize the Help Desk and Network Engineering resources building a strong crosstrained team environment.

  
  


• 
  

  Coordinate the installation configuration and maintenance of the organization's servers and workstations.

  
  


• 
  

  Obtain approval and document all system configuration changes through the Change Management process.

  
  


• 
  

  Manage performance of multiple hardware and software platform interfaces.

  
  


• 
  

  Oversee the server and network hardware.

  
  


• 
  

  Manage the administration maintenance and upgrades of the organization's local area wide area and VOIP networks.

  
  


• 
  

  Analyze products and recommend use of new products and services to senior management.

  
  


• 
  

  Manage and administrate network performance and security.

  
  


• 
  

  Monitor networks for bandwidth utilization and unauthorized access..

  
  


• 
  

  Perform other duties as assigned.

    Advanced knowledge of network capacity planning network security principles and general network management best practices.

    
    
  
  
  • 
    

    Ability to oversee a technical team and implement best practice standards lead projects and maintain network infrastructure and security.

    
    
  
  
  • 
    

    Knowledge of LAN's WAN's VOIP and telecommunications.

    
    
  
  
  • 
    

    A proven team player with outstanding written and verbal communication.

    
    
  
  
  • 
    

    Additional knowledgeskills may be required by contract or assignment

    
    
    
    

    Experience amp Education

    
    

    
    
    • 
      

      Bachelor degree in Computer Science Information systems or relevant related degree. Master's degree preferred.

      
      
    
    
    • 
      

      Eight 8 years progressively responsible networkinfrastructure experience.

      
      
    
    
    • 
      

      46 years' experience with a multinational or large corporation supporting mission critical Ciscobased networks.

      
      
    
    
    • 
      

      Certifications in any of the following are highly advantageous Cisco Certified Network Professional CCNP Cisco Certified Design Professional CCDP Cisco Certified Internet work Expert CCIE and Cisco Certified Design Associate CCDA.

      
      
    
    
    • 
      

      Additional experienceeducation may be required by contract or assignment.

      
      
      
      

      Physical RequirementsWorking Environment

      
      

      
      
      • Normal office working environment. Assignment in overseas location where living and working conditions at the assignment location could be remote and uncomfortable with long hours exposure to weather and hazardous conditions
