Key Accountabilities
- Q uality Assurance of all Laser scan data coming from Projects.
- Control and processing of laser scan datasets.
- Providing and creating scan delivery tables to the Project Manager.
- Manage technical aspects of field and office based laser scanning projects in close liaison with the Project Manager.
- Check survey and laser scan data received from the field for completeness and quality.
- Develops maintains and manages Fugro Iraq Terrestrial data management system.
- Carry out processing and reporting work for assigned projects.
- Ensures the timely implementation of Terrestrial Survey related projects.
- Develop implement maintain and apply a quality control system that guarantees the highest achievable standard of products and services.
- Assisting Project manager with site estimations of the laser scanning projects.
- Keeping records of the daily operational tasks of the Terrestrial survey department.
- Work with Operations Manager and Project Managers for correct issuing of survey
- Instructions and data to the site teams
- Maintain and update all survey and laser scanning software as needed.
- Keeping records of instrument calibrations and field reports
- Assisting with training procedures conducted with site survey teams.
- Documentation of results and improving training systems
- Manage the production of final deliverables as per Fugro Standard and Client’s specification.
- Maintain an organised archive of project and relevant Terrestrial survey data.
- Assisting in RampD for the development of new products and solutions for the Terrestrial survey department.
- Ability to go to projects and assist Laser scanning teams in data processing on site.
- Conduct site visits in a pretender or postaward stage.
Requirements
Qualifications required
- BSc. or higher in Land Survey or topographical science related education with sufficient associated experience
Skills experience required to do the job
- Minimum 16 yrs. of practical land surveying experience in the field.
- Experience in data processing for land and topographical surveys.
- Experience in carrying out and registering high production laser scanning projects.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Practical experience in Faro laser scanning hardware software systems field procedures download and registration.
- Practical experience in full LFM Suite workflows registration processing and Pointcloud generation. 3D Modelling would be advantageous.
- Experience of working with other Laser scanning software’s would be advantageous.
- Enthusiastic and motivated.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Windows based software Word Excel Power Point and HTML editors EMail internet Outlook and sequential and relational databases.
- Selfmotivated proactive committed and flexible with strong problemsolving skills.
- Good knowledge of surveying techniques geodetic theory and computer CAD and GIS systems.
- Ability to work effectively in a multinational and multicultural work environment.
- Excellent verbal and written skills both internally and with Client English is essential other dialects may be advantageous.
