Hill International is seeking to employ a Resident Engineer with heavy construction experience for one of its ongoing projects in Qatar. Project Location Qatar Reports To Construction Manager Qualifications and Requirements A degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline is required Post Graduate education such is highly desired Must have a minimum of 15 years of experience Must have experience in Metro projects Must have experience in Deep station box excavations Diaphragm walls Station finishes Ability to think ahead identify new opportunities and create new and innovative approaches to work related issues Excellent working knowledge of Word Excel and strong user skill level within MS Office or Primavera General Description of Role Responsibilities Communicate with the Project Manager continuously regarding project progress and areas of concerns. Advise Project Manager of any foreseen slippage of progress and propose corrective actions. Review and initial PM assessment of monthly progress invoices Review weekly and monthly reports as presented by Contractor and present to Project Manager comments of noncompliance andor area of concern and corrective actions. Assess change requests as submitted by Contractor and report the recommendation to Project Manager. Supervise design site and construction management of all structural aspects of the project. Arrange and carry out trade tests as per contract.
