Hill International is seeking to employ an Assistant Resident Engineer with heavy construction experience for one of its ongoing projects in Qatar.Project Location QatarReports To Construction Manager Qualifications University Degree in a relevant discipline Excellent command of the English Language 15 years of relevant professional experience Excellent communication and computer skills Experience in metro rail projects. General Description of Role Responsibilities Supervise all contracting activities of the project associated with Civils and Tunnelling Works including Monitoring the Civil Works including but not limited to the following · Site Establishment · Utility Diversion · Site Logistics · Station Construction · Tunnelling Operations · Reinstatement · Tests on Completion Defects liability · Preparation and processing of site reports · Ensure progressive assurance of the permanent Civils works is in accordance with the Contract. Provide technical advice and recommendations on Construction issues that arise Ensure that all DB Contractor works are in full compliance with all Client’s Contract requirements including but not limited to relevant State of Qatar European International or Client’s standards Monitor the results of the DB Contractor’s testing and agree suitable measures with the project team in the event that failures occurred and to prevent any future reoccurrences Monitor Construction progress and verify correctness of progress recorded on Monthly basis Review findings of value engineering workshops and build ability reviews and provide comments Provide narrative and review progress and existing issues on the DB Contractor s’ Monthly Report Conduct Surveillance Checks and report findings to the Employer.
