Job Purpose

The HSE officer will be responsible for supervise and monitoring the approved HSE Management system



Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities

• 
  


• Prepare regular HSE inspection reports based on the site observations


• 
  
  
  


• Prepare organize and participate in site safety training programs.


• 
  
  
  


• Attend meetings on matters within his sphere of activities.


• 
  
  
  


• Create and maintain a database with all Qatari laws regulations standards and other international conventions with respect to HSE


• 
  
  
  


• Maintain close liaison with the Client's and Contractor's safety personnel.


• 
  
  
  


• Check safety requirements in method statements and permit to work procedures submitted by the Contractor.


• 
  
  
  


• Carry out regular site safety inspections.


• 
  
  
  


• Check that all agreed safety standards and applicable safety regulations are observed.


• 
  
  
  


• Check proper maintenance calibration and operation of all equipment associated with the project.


• 
  
  
  


• Investigate all accidents and dangerous occurrences.


• 
  
  
  


• Ensure that HSampE are in compliance with the Contract agreement i.e. Ministry of Environment and HSE plan towards the site personnel as well as to the public.

  • Bachelor Degree in a related Engineering Discipline
  
  
  • Minimum of 5years of experience from large complex civil engineering and building construction projects.     
  
  
  • Attended recognized safety related training courses.
  
  
  • Must have thorough knowledge of international safety standards and procedures
  
  
  • SelfStarter and Team player
  
  
  • Good communication Skills.
  
  
  • Has indepth understanding of safety management systems and procedures and makes appropriate decisions based on his knowledge.
