Marine Operations Manager

Responsible for the overall operations of Marine including managing planning chartering and organizing the capacity maintenance and availability of company8217s fleet in line with the business demand.nbsp In addition the Marine Manager must take prime responsibility for new business growth.

1. 
   

   You will oversee the operation of the vessels ensuring that they are operated safely economically and efficiently maintained to a standard that allows them to fulfill operational requirements of either the organization or charter parties andor other commercial contracts.

   
   


2. 
   

   The Marine Manager is usually also responsible for vessel inspections audits.nbsp You may be required to prepare reports in readiness for any inspection or items arising from inspections to ensure any actions arising are followed up.

   
   


3. 
   

   You may also be responsible for preparing regular reports for Directors of clients regarding vessel operation.

   
   


4. 
   

   As a key manager within the organization you will be responsible for the management of a team of people who work within Fleet Management.nbsp You will be required to carry out staff training as well as monitor staff performance.

   
   


5. 
   

   Manage the budget preparation for Marine as a separate entity and each vessel alone.

   
   


6. 
   

   Ensure that all departments are correctly performing their duties and adhering to company policy and work plans designated to them.

   
   


7. 
   

   Establish and maintain good relationship with all local and international authorities and organizations in order to facilitate smooth operations of the company.

   
   


8. 
   

   Ensure that the manpower resources are available in terms of number of personnel staff training and staff qualification to perform the intended assigned functions.

   
   


9. 
   

   Recommend and implement initiatives to enhance the operating profitability.

   
   


10. 
    

    Team player with ability to invest intense energy in different directions simultaneously and comfortably in an environment of constant change.

    
    


11. 
    

    Achieve high level of productivity and customer satisfaction.

    
    


12. 
    

    Liaise with clients in an effort to achieve continuous customer satisfaction.
