Manager of Market Surveillance Section UAE National
1 Provide direction supervision and training to employees under their supervision in performing their tasks and in solving problems they encounter while performing their jobs.
2 Ensure that all functions to be undertaken by their section have been allocated to responsible people and are correctly completed with no functions left undone or unaccounted for.
3 Develop maintain and ensure compliance with policies and procedures set for the Market Surveillance and trading functions.
4 Assist in setting quality control procedures that will enhance the services provided.
5 Provide head of department with regular reports and management information relating to the business of their section in an accurate and timely manner.
6 Ensure the provision and distribution of all necessary information to other functions in an accurate and timely manner.
7 Keep an up to date awareness of trading rules and regulations e.g. auctions and indexes to ensure system parameters are current.
8 Keep abreast of new developments methods and techniques in securities markets and the operation of their trading surveillance and compliance functions.
9 Prepare and conducts performance evaluations of staff under their supervision.
10 Ensure that a high level of coordination and communication is maintained through directing their staff and enhancing working relationships with other sections.
11 Approve expenses and overtime for employees working under their supervision.
12 Maintain the secure environment of the market surveillance and trading functions by following agreed procedures and by keeping information confidential.
13 Monitor the work of the officers within section and intervens when necessary for a more senior person to take control of a market surveillance trading violation or complaint.
14 Escalate market operation trading surveillance and complaints up to senior management as necessary in line with the policies and procedures.
15 Perform any other task of duties as required by senior management.
Skills
Education Designations
Bachelor degree in Business Administration or Finance or equivalent.
Experience
Nine years experience in a similar position.
Three years supervisory experience.
