EMS Quality Management Reviewer

JOB DETAILS POSITION SUMMARY The EMS Quality Management Reviewer supports quality management improvement and assurance through the performance and administration of quality activities and reporting within the Ambulance Service. The quality reviewer is required to work with quality and operational management as well as staff to achieve specific quality management aims. As HMCAS evolves so too will this role but the emphasis will remain on quality management activities. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES Performs quality audit in specified areas of ambulance service operations such as data entry documentation management emergency communications risk management clinical practice and operational performance. Provides feedback from the audit using the following methods formal and informal feedback to staff reports to management and leaders administration of a risk register preparation of indicators and or measurement against benchmark. Assists with staff education in their specific quality management fields. Stays abreast of current HMC and HMCAS policies procedures guidelines and strategy and integrates this into quality management functions. Becomes familiar with accreditation standards relating to specified area of ambulance service operations and participates in accreditation preparation and survey. Functions as a consultant to HMCAS staff in their specific quality management fields. Liaises with external agencies and HMC entities as required. Performs other duties as required.
