Chef

Duties of Chef include but not limited to



Assistbe directly involved with Team of Friends' Avenue in developing Menu costing presentation packaging etc. details.

Manage all kitchen operations and staff on a daily basis to ensure a consistent high quality food product.

Maintain sanitation levels food quality and guest satisfaction.

Advise to directors on operating budget.

Assist Cafe in developing and generating annual sales.

Train and oversee the development of line staff.

Involved in research and testing of new food products.

Interact with vendors.

Support and supervise kitchen reporting regularly to the management.

Fully understand and be responsible to supervise the implementation of the recipe book and cooking methods.

Maintain the right quality of recipes and cooking methods making sure that Friends’ Avenue Cafe follows the brand standards.

Plan regular quality checks and build an organized system that records the deliverables of each inspection.

Supervise and implement an organized system that controls the local health standards as well as according to HACCP program.

Conduct monthly and regularly menu engineering plans by proposing to remove add introduce and upsell items on the menus.

Be responsible to maintain and updates whenever is needed the recipe book of cafe making sure that both internally cost control procurement finance operations etc and externally suppliers brand owners etc are aware as well as have approved the changes.



The candidate



Has experience in similar caférestaurant for at least 4 years

Is solution and results driven

Is capable to conduct and or be responsible for food and beverage training plans

Is proficient in food hygiene menu engineering quality inspections

Shows high patterns of organization and communication

Has relevant studies and academic qualifications in food and beverage in international institutions

Is capable of managing issues with daily supplies

Resolves any recipe or costing variances

Is capable of ensuring food costs are kept within budget

Is aware of methods to minimize food wastage
