Minimum Requirements

Minimum Position Knowledge Skills and Abilities Required



Bachelors degree in business or related field Five 5 years of experience in one or more of the following logistics services material management transportation material handling use of information systems in logistics management. Must be familiar with current systems methodology. Excellent analytical and communication skills must possess planningorganizing and leadership skills and a valid drivers license. Position may require travel. Position may require the ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance.



Work Environment Physical Demands and Mental Demands



Typical office environment with no unusual hazards occasional lifting to 50 pounds constant sitting while using the computer terminal constant use of sight abilities while reviewing documents constant use of speechhearing abilities for communication constant mental alertness must posses planningorganizing skills and must be able to work under deadlines.

Job Description

Manages and directs an organization's transportationretrograde operational policies objectives and initiatives. Manages a transportationretrograde region andor related Support Office personnel and activities. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts practices and procedures. Assists the Program Manager in the management and coordination of transportationretrograde and support office operations to ensure operating effectiveness and efficiency and compliance with the Statement of Work SOW and company policies and procedures. Supervises a transportation region and support office personnel including ensuring staff is adequately trained coordinating workloads priorities and schedules to ensure timely and effective completion of work and monitoring and evaluating staff performance. .Interfaces with government officials on diverse issues and problems and works to resolve operational issues and problems. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Perform management level customer interface including responsibility for overseeing contractual deliverables development of responses to the Requests for Quotes and overall task execution. Coordinate the investigation and resolution of operational problems in conjunction with other personnel. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
