Head of Sales
Job Description An International Food Manufacturing company is seeking to recruit a Head of Sales . You will be directly reporting to the Food Solutions General Manager. This position will be based in Muscat OmanPURPOSE OF ROLE To provide leadership to the Food Solutions sales team implement our sales strategy for the Food Solutions sector and driving sales and volume growth through managing existing key accounts and developing profitable new sales in new and existing markets and geographical areas. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESAchievement of Sales Targets Deliver and ensure the sales team delivers on sales volume and value targets. row sales volumes and market share of products the company is aspiring to develop and attains country and market sector sales targets. Sets stretching but deliverable sales targets for the team and motivates and manages the team in achieving these targets. Franchise Key Account ManagementTo implement successful sales strategies that develop new profitable sales volume with existing accounts in existing and new countries and market segments. To take the lead and be a key contact to the top Food Solutions accounts and manage the large distributors in this sector in order to best serve the franchise.Facilitate alliances between franchisor and franchisee to drive mutual profitable growth.To be aware of customer service levels Complaints per Million Units CPMUs and assist in ensuring the company consistently achieves its targets. To foster cross functional communications with the CRM Quality and manufacturing teams particularly with new customers and during NPD launches to ensure the smooth delivery of our products.To meet regularly with our major customers and distributors and attain customer feedback and insights into the market. Sales ForecastingDevelop and manage accurate sales forecasting methods and reportingMarket 'Pull' and Market 'PushEnsure promotional activities are cost effective focussed and successfully executed to maximise sales growth and brand awareness. Manage our distributors promotional activities to enable the business to develop sales volumes of new products and in enable the company to expand its sales within its existing markets. To sponsor the sampling demonstration and other promotional activities in franchisees to create a market 'pull' for our products. Promote new food applications and recipes to drive sales and create a demand for our products. NPD To support the development of NPD and to support the launch and establishment of new products in the market place. To use NPD to facilitate contact with the local chains and drive sales. People Leadership and DevelopmentLead develop inspire and motivate direct reports to attain sales targets and drive an upward improvements in the team's skills and performance. In conjunction with the Head of Sales for Brands and Commodities develop lead and manage events and mechanisms that recognise reward and motivate high achievers in the sales team.Build effective team and cross functional team working relationships particularly with the Business Development Manager and Marketing Quality CRM and manufacturing teams. Adopt a modern inclusive engaging leadership style and create a supportive working environment where employees feel involved and believe they can offer input and improvements. Conduct annual performance reviews in line with Company policy and other regular performance review meetings with members of their teams regarding performance expectations standards attendance etc. ensuring their wider teams capabilities and performance are constantly improving.Ensure the team are regularly briefed feedback is sought and employee contributions are maximised.Responsible for improving the team's performance and capabilities and delivering the team's training and development plans.Responsible for the team's standards of behaviour and all disciplinary grievance and capability matters.Recruit and develop talent and team members ensuring employee contributions are maximised and develop a talent pool for succession planning.Health and SafetyLead and inspire the team in establishing a safety first culture.Ensure the team are communicated to regarding the Company's Health and Safety standards and how we expect our employees to behave and carry out their jobs in a safe manner at all times.Support all safety initiatives and lead the team in achieving and exceeding Health and Safety targets.
